    About

    I’m a software developer who cares about building technology that is ethical, accessible, and useful. My background is in full-stack development, but I also bring a strong focus on design, inclusivity, and responsible use of AI.

    I’ve worked in nonprofit, startup, and freelance contexts, often as the only developer on a project - taking ideas from concept to launch. I've hired and led lean development teams. That means I’m comfortable owning the full cycle: planning, coding, integrating with APIs and LLMs, setting up CMS workflows, and making sure the end result is reliable and user-friendly.

    Every project has different needs and constraints. Sometimes the goal is to ship fast and test, sometimes it’s to scale for the long run. I adapt my approach to fit the context, always balancing speed, budget, and quality.

    Ethical AI & Tech

    I think about how technology affects people, especially those who get overlooked in design decisions. When I work with AI tools, I prioritize transparency and try to avoid solutions that could cause harm or reinforce bias.

    Accessibility

    I build with accessibility in mind from the start, not as something to fix later. This means following WCAG guidelines and making design choices that work for everyone, including people using screen readers or other assistive technologies.

    Practical Development

    I focus on shipping functional, maintainable code that fits the project's timeline and budget. Sometimes that means pragmatic choices over perfect architecture, but always with an eye toward what the project actually needs to succeed.

    Lead developer for Aya Contigo, a multilingual PWA providing reproductive health resources and live chat support across Latin America and the U.S. Oversaw a major redesign (Aya 2.0), built scalable REST API integrations, and implemented offline-first features. Mentored junior devs and coordinated agile workflows with an international, cross-functional team.
